These are caused by normal response of immune system reacting to harmless substance in the environment.

The substance can be pollen, dust , mold , animal fur , certain food , insects ect. Which are referred to as allergens.

Symptoms of allergy

Common symptoms of an allergic reaction can cause

  • Itchy watery eyes
  • Sneezing
  • Itchy , runny nose
  • Rashes
  • Feeling tired or ill
  • Hives

Food allergies can cause

  • Stomach cramps
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Insect sting allergy can cause

  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Pain


Sometimes allergy can be life threatening as well . anaphylactic shock is a an allergic reaction where your blood pressure suddenly drops and the airway narrows down leading to possibility is blocking of normal breathing.

This kind of reaction requires immediate treatment or it can be life threatening and fatal.


You can start watching symptoms in 5-30 mins of coming into contact with the allergen.

  • Red rash with hives and are usually itchy
  • Swollen throats or areas of body
  • Chest tightness
  • Hoarse voice
  • Wheezing
  • Passing out
  • Trouble breathing
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Stomach cramping
  • Face turning pale or red
  • Trouble swallowing


The best way to take precaution in this case scenario is to avoid allergen and make sure to be prepared . carry an auto injectable epinephrine (often referred as epi-pen) .
